How to create a seamless texture from a photographed surfaceThis is a very powerful functionality of TextureMagic, but it is not completely obvious how to do it. Once you read this, it will be very easy to do: First you need a picture of a surface that is suitable for a texture. For this example we use the file "wood surface". Open this file with TextureMagic and it will look like this: The next step is to enter the crop mode: After you entered the crop mode the window will look like this: Note the four points (that define the crop area) and the two buttons in the left bottom of the windows frame (that toggle between preview and overview). Move each of the points to a position that will crop a seamless texture until it look like this: Now click on the second button in the lower left of the window to toggle to the preview: You can use the tools in the floating window to fine tune the edges to make it tile seamless. Chose a tool and move it over the four areas of the window. Notice how the mouse cursor changes and reflects the actions that the tool will do when you click on the mouse button: You can always toggle back and forth between preview and overview mode. After you have a removed perspective from the surface go back to editing mode (the arrow in the floating window). Use the rubber stamp tool to edit the edges. You can also use all the other filters to smooth the edges. You now have a seamless wood surface like this:
